First and foremost; praise God for each and everyday. He Is A Way Maker. I'm so grateful to have had this opportunity to share this moment of my life from the get go. Throughout my life I have always kept a smile on my face knowing the true love I receive from family friends, relatives and loved ones. What a joy it is knowing my classmates and childhood friends still kicking it too. Life is good. Growing up in Wilmington and attending Hawaiian Avenue Elementtary School was where I would meet what to become lifelong friends. Walking many miles to Wilmington Junior High School kept me physically fit too. Afterward the civil rights movement and integration, transferred me, via busing, to Dodson Junior High in Rolling Hills. After graduating from Dodson the long walk from 1021 'D' Court, Dana Stand Projects-Wilmington, to Banning High School kept me physically fit too. Walking and running to school was hard especially during the winter months. Thank you Ricky (Ricardo) Boyce for sharing your ride. Ricky had the very first light blue 2 door Ford Mustang. My close friend Lynn Johnson had the very first Corvair, not Corvette. Attending Banning was challenging and entertaining too. Sam Gibson was our football star. Seaton, McClain, Vance and others lead our varsity basketball team. Harry Reid was our track star along with James Newsom who always out ran me too. All the coaches were great.
